五四青年节虽已过，但青春永远没有完成时。到底什么是青春呢？14到28周岁，称为青年，但一定可以就拥有青春吗？超过28岁的人们还能拥有青春吗？一切尽在下面这篇短文《Youth》中。

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind;

青春不是一个年龄阶段，而是指人的思想状态；

it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees;

青春不代表桃面、红唇和柔膝；

it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions;

它的内涵是意志力、想象力还有炽热的情感，

it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity,

青春意味着卓绝的勇气而不是胆小怯懦，

of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease.

选择热爱冒险而不是安逸舒适。

This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20.

这经常更多在60岁老翁的身上展现而不是20岁的小伙子。

Nobody grows old merely by a number of years.

We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human beings heart the lure of wonder,

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism,
